Dr. Tomus is a very capable and thorough Doctor. However, the billing office is terrible. I have received numerous bills for a treatment that was never performed. After two written notices and four phone conversations explaining the situation, I am still receiving bills/late notices. I am told there is a note on my file and they "are working on it"...but in the meantime, I continue to get bills and Medicare has paid for a treatment that was never performed. Just be prepared for a hassle.
I have been going to Dr. Sabin Thomas for a couple of years now. I can honestly say I had a terribly painful hip infection and he found it and gave me the best medication for the the infection. I also have Neuropathy and Fibromyalgia two very painful and debilitating diseases he has treated me along with a My neurologists by his recommendation. He is dedicated and has a wonderful bedside manner.
My mother has been going to Dr. Tomus for over 6 years now and her health is increasingly worse. He over medicates, doesn't provide information regarding new diagnosis, takes over 2 hours to be seen (that's with a scheduled appointment ), and changes information in charts and profiles to cover up errors. He refused to listen to my concerns about my mother until I demanded to meet with him. My mother lost 20 lbs in a month and Dr. Tomus didn't address this concern at all. I'm concerned that he is able to continue practicin the way he does.
I should know I have worked in the healthcare field for 23 years.I have seen a lot of doctors who are not as kind, and courteous as he is. He also has a wonderful lady named Becky who works her little heart out she is wonderful!

Dr. Tomus and his staff were all very courteous and friendly. I was skeptical, because I have been to other medical offices in Hinesville and have not been treated well. However, Dr. Tomus was humorous and efficient, taking the time to discuss all topics I was concerned with, and suggesting referrals and offering prescriptions without me having to beg for them. I will definitely continue to see Dr. Tomus and would recommend him to anyone.
Leaving patients in rooms while the doctor and his NP are laughing at the desk is rude. When I walked out of the room to leave (an hour after my actual appointment and 1/2 hour after being left in a room), I explained that I had other things to do and had to leave. I asked which way was the exit and the NP - Sarah Ellis, whom I was supposed to be seeing, actually giggled and pointed to the exit. No one tried to stop me from leaving and no one apologized. Even after I emailed later that day, the response I got was "I'm sorry if you were unhappy..."
