What I like most about this restaurant is its laid back, quiet atmosphere. It's worth coming to just to enjoy a quiet meal with my wife without all the noise you expect at many other family-friendly establishments.
My stepmother, who is a respectable and honorable veteran, and I decided to grab some Korean food for lunch. We usually go to Seoul Restaurant but decided to give Korea House a shot- big mistake! The food was good as far as Korean food goes, but the service we got was beyond horrifying. The server is an older gentleman who came out pointing at a table for us to sit at in a rude manner upon us literally walking in the door. We sat down and looked through the menu not even for a full 30 seconds before he was standing over us with waiting pad in hand asking us what we wanted, and not even asking us what we would like for drinks. I ordered first and before my stepmother even finished her sentence when it was her turn to order he rudely flipped our menus shut and grabbed them before turning away. He served our food shortly afterwards with our drinks. We had been eating and talking for about a half hour when the server came over interrupting our conversation and saying, "Could you pay now? We're closing." It was 4pm and their hours said that day they were closing at 5pm. My stepmother agreed and stopped eating to fumble in her purse all while the server was hovering over her impatiently. To say the least it was a very bad experience service wise. I couldn't believe how he treated us as patrons. As we were making our way out his wife who cooks in the back came out smiling and thanking us for coming. We told her she should teach her husband how to smile and be as courteous as she is. To be honest, were probably never going back here or referring this place to anyone we know. Go to Seoul Restaurant instead!
Great value - and tasty food. I do believe this will be our go to place for the next little while.
This is a small quiet place I wouldn't go with a huge group, but the food is amazing. It is a little old man and I believe his wife who make the food and it is all authentic. I don't get to go very often as I live a bit far from its location, but It is well worth the drive.
Excellent food and service. Been many times and never disappointed with the quality of the meal and service.
Very poor attitude and very unprofessional. I am a US Army Soldier, a Veteran, a father, husband, brother and son. I entered the restaurant, sat down and waited for almost 30 minutes. A semi large group of Soldiers (approximately 14-18) was already seated and having a small gathering. Over half the place was empty and seats were readily available. I was told outright, that the orders were too large for what they could handle. I was then told, not asked, to leave and go to another restaurant. This review is not out of hate, or revenge, or anything of that nature. It is simply to let my brothers and sisters in the US services know how they are subject to being treated by this establishment. Since I was told to go somewhere else, the owners of this place will never have to worry about me again. I'm happy to eat across the street and Seoul Korean Restaurant. They are a lot better with their customers and are humble enough to know who is paying them.
